Biography

Craig Mc Morrow a well renowned singer/songwriter hails from County Leitrim in the west of Ireland. Craig has been involved in music from a young age playing bodhran at traditional Irish music sessions. In his late teens he found his singing voice and began playing guitar and writing his own material. A move to North London a few years later sparked his music career. It was here he developed his style and credits much of his success to experience gained running open mic nights and gigging alongside the likes of Ryan Keen, Dixie, Lester Clayton and Antonio Lulic.

Craig’s main music interests include rock,country blues and acoustic/pop. Craig has also enjoyed preforming folk across Europe and America as part of a professional Irish dancing touring company. Inspired by singer-songwriters like Damien Rice, Gavin James, Chris Stapleton but also loving the rock’n’roll of the Foo Fighters, Guns’n’Roses and Nirvana, Craig writes music with these influences in mind whilst bringing his own unique style into the mix.

In 2014 Craig became a contestant on The Voice of Ireland and wowed the judges making it to the live finals. Craig currently lives in Edinburgh where he enjoys gigging full time in all the major venues of the city. Craig’s performances are always energetic, lively and enthusiastic. This energy and stage presence soon ensured that he got himself a very dedicated fan-base that are excited for what 2016/17 has to offer.

Craig’s debut single ‘Sticks and Stones’ is currently available on all major platforms with his EP being finalised for release in the coming months.
